Nothing like a good rich stew to warm you up on a chilly winter day, and this wonderful dish is actually vegetarian, to boot! An intense Hungarian-style mushroom ragu served with sour cream and delicious homemade savoury scones. This is part of my latest ski chalet feature in the January issue of @deliciousmag shot on location with the very talented @ianwallacephotographer. Thanks again to @editorkarenb and @jenbedloe and @brocantelincontournable for props and everyone on the team. For this and other fantastic winter recipes buy your copy of the magazine now.
Very excited to see this month's @deliciousmag and the lovely winter feature I shot with @ianwallacephotographer here in France. The setting was a winter ski lodge and it was really brilliant fun both styling this as well as of course, writing the vegetarian comforting recipes. Thanks to everyone at Delicious and for your continuing support #foodmagazine #foodfeatures #foodstylist #foodwriter #foodphotographer #winterfood #vegetarian #vegetariandishes #logfires #skilodge #skicabins

Grab a seat in front of a roaring log fire and enjoy a warming buttered rum along with a plate of parmesan and rosemary melts - the perfect antidote to the grey drizzle outside and lock downs and Covid restrictions. To find this recipe along with a fabulous winter dinner menu head to my blog on my website (address in bio). Shot for my favourite food magazine @deliciousmag in 2019 with the amazing @ianwallacephotographer
Simplicity in this lovely dish of oven Roasted spaghetti squash with butter and Parmesan. It is great as a meal in itself served with a hearty mixed salad or you can serve it as a side veg with roast chicken or pork. If you have never tried a spaghetti squash before you are in for a treat. With that typical sweet/nutty slightly earthy flavour typical of all squashes and pumpkin, the flesh softens into - you guessed it - spaghetti like strands that can be forked up like it's pasta namesake. #squash #pumpkins #winter #recipe #food #foodstyling #foodphotography # food writer #vegetarian #comfortfood #livinginfrance
Homemade Hot Chocolate Spoons - a great idea for lovers of hot chocolate this Christmas - why not make these cute little 'spoons' to give as a press or a treat for yourself. Chocolate sis melted, flavoured and then set in small paper cases. Once semi-set you can sprinkle all sorts of goodies on top from Turkish delight to hundreds and thousands! For the recipe go to my blog - you'll find the link on my website in the bio. #Christmas #ediblegifts #christmasgoodies #chocolate #hotchocolate #recipes #foodstyling #foodphotography #foodwriter #Christmasstocking
